a common problem i ran into when talking to my parents or other people about Hetalia was that EVERYONE assumed that the Holy Roman Empire, a favourite character of mine, was The Vatican. i can understand where this misconception would come from, since the Vatican is inside Italy (and no, i'm not going to make a joke about that.... stupid fangirls), but it got annoying after awhile. (although my dad caught on pretty quick and actually filled me in on some real History on this country)
